Thomas Moore (Creator, Writer, Co-Director, Producer)

thomas-moore1Thomas Moore is a NYC psychotherapist and workplace consultant who has committed himself to making intimate relationships and work environments safer and friendlier.  He does this is his professional roles as a Manhattan psychotherapist in private practice and as Administrative Director of Business & Clinical Operations at RWJ Barnabas Health Employee Assistance Program Services.

Tom’s also a NYC writer and producer who’s in the process of doing something he’s never done before: Write an entire first season of his 30-minute, six episode Subscription Video On Demand series, TALK THERAPY.

Tom’s writing credits include: The WILLiFEST Outstanding Achievement Award in Short Screenwriting, the Cinestory Foundation award for best short screenplay, 2017 Cinequest’s 30-minute Pilot Teleplay competition finalist, 2017 New York Film and Television Festival finalist, 2017 Creative World Awards 30-minutes Pilot Competition semifinalist and a 2017 PAGE Awards 30-minute Pilot Competition semifinalist.  Tom’s self-produced, short film JACK & PAUL was an official selection at the Williamsburg International Film Festival, the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, Manhattan Film Festival, the SAG Foundation’s Short Film Showcase and The American Psychological Association’s (APA) Film Festival.

His plays have won the Drama League’s Best Play-in-Progress Award, invitations to the NYC Fringe Festival and fellowships at the Blue Mountain Center Artist Residency and the Edward F. Albee Foundation.  Tom was a finalist at New Dramatists and semifinalist at the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference.

 

Jayce Bartok (Co-Director, Lead Actor, Producer)

Jayce Bartok has appeared in numerous films and television shows as an actor, most notably Richard Linklater's SUBURBIA, Sam Raimi's SPIDERMAN and Tom McCarthy's THE STATION AGENT. TV appearances include frequent roles on BLINDSPOT, BULL, and BLUE BLOODS, as well as a lead in the up-coming SVOD web series THE HOLDOUTS.

in 2016, Jayce wrote, directed and produced the indie feature FALL TO RISE (Panorama Entertainment) now available on iTunes & Amazon PRIME. FALL TO RISE was an official selection at the Dance On Camera Festival at Lincoln Center and winner of the Bulleit Frontier Filmmaker Award at the First Time Fest in New York City. Jayce wrote, produced, and starred in THE CAKE EATERS, the critically acclaimed film directed by Mary Stuart Masterson, starring Kristen Stewart and Bruce Dern and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Other credits include co-director and producer of the award-winning documentary ALTERED BY ELVIS, writer/director/producer of the award-winning short films: JACK & PAUL, SUNBURN, starring Jack Falahee and Damian Young, and STRICKEN, starring Hayley Mills.  Jayce wrote the SXSW winning short, LITTLE PUMPKIN, and was a producer on the award-winning short SUDDENLY, starring Terry Kinney.

Most recently he produced LARGER THAN LIFE: THE KEVYN AUCOIN STORY, executive produced by Matador Content. Jayce has been a juror for the Chelsea Film Festival, a moderator & panelist for SAG-AFTRA and a columnist for MovieMaker Magazine.  Jayce is excited about his upcoming role as ‘DAD’ on PBS’ soon-to-launch animated series, based on the best-selling book series, PINKALICIOUS.

 

Robert Hawk (Dramaturg, Producer)

bobBob Hawk is a recipient of the 2016 Cinequest Maverick Spirit Award for his contributions to independent film as a producer, advisor and dramaturg. FILM HAWK, a feature documentary by directors JJ Garvine and Tai Parquet, premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. FILM HAWK chronicles Bob’s life as a gay rights advocate and a tireless proponent of independent film for the past 30 years. Bob has been credited with discovering and/or nurturing the talents of Kevin Smith (CLERKS), Dayna Goldfine & Daniel Geller (BALLETS RUSSES), Edward Burns (THE BROTHERS McMULLEN), Rob Epstein (THE TIMES OF HARVEY MILK), Kimberly Reed (PRODIGAL SONS) and Nathaniel Kahn (MY ARCHITECT). Bob was dramaturg and a co-producer on JACK AND PAUL. He served on the Advisory Selection Committee of the Sundance Film Festival for its entire existence (1987-1998). He currently serves on the advisory boards of Independent Film Week (IFP/NY) and The Legacy Project, a joint effort of Outfest and the UCLA Film and Television Archive. He has also been an advisor for AIFA (American Independents and Features Abroad) at the Berlin Film Festival and First Look (Tribeca Film Center/Eastman Kodak). He has served on many festival juries, both domestic and international, and has curated special film series for, among others, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the M.H. de Young Museum in San Francisco, the International Documentary Congress in Los Angeles, and the Melbourne and Sundance film festivals. He is founder of his own business, filmHAWK.

 

Tiffany Bartok (Co-Director, Producer)

tiffanyTiffany is currently in production directing and co-producing her documentary on the seminal American make-up artist, photographer and author Kevyn Aucoin. Interviews include: Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Andie MacDowell, Amber Valletta, and Jewel. Tiffany received her BFA in theater from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Following a move to New York City, Tiffany worked consistently as an actress but soon discovered a talent for makeup artistry. She began to sharpen her skills on celebrities and film crews. Ultimately, the draw of the film world was contagious and Tiffany made the decision to direct and produce original films, including her award winning documentary ALTERED BY ELVIS and the short film LITTLE PUMPKIN, which screened at the prestigious SXSW film festival. She was also selected as a finalist for the AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women. Her out of the box producing talents have been the subject of a New York Times Arts Section feature. She has been a past jury member for the Memphis International Film Festival and the Vail Film Festival. Andres Karu (Director of Photography, Editor)

Andres KaruAndres was born and raised in New Jersey. After studying film at Rutgers University, he wound up pursuing another passion of his… music. He travelled the country as a professional musician for several years before moving to New York City to begin a career as an assistant cameraman. He spent six years working on numerous commercials, short films and music videos. Then, in the last seven years, he’s worked full-time as a cinematographer. He has photographed several features and over two dozen short films. His work has been seen at major film festivals such as Telluride, SXSW, Tribeca and Los Angeles Film Festival. In addition, he’s shot music videos for Deftones, Teyana Taylor, a concert film for Kanye West and a not yet released doc about the legendary rap group, Wu-Tang Clan. He has most recently worked in television and just completed 6 seasons of true crime recreations shows for Discovery, ID, TruTV and TLC.
